The AutoLab 3000 is a unique triaxial apparatus with the pressure vessel and the pore fluid intensifiers housed in a furnace that heats the entire system to 150oC (300oF). This system was designed to examine the effects of rock/pore fluid chemical interactions on geomechanical and petrophysical rock properties at moderate temperatures and pressures. By incorporating the pore pressure intensifiers into the heated zone with the pressure vessel, pore fluids are injected into the sample without thermal shock. Fluid samples can be collected from the downstream end of the sample and stored at the temperature and pressure conditions of the measurement. With a large bore vessel, three pore pressure intensifiers, and a minimum of forty (40) high pressure electrical feed thru’s, the unit has the flexibility to accommodate well instrumented, complex experiments at an almost any required loading protocol.
