AutoLab HPHT

xxss

The AutoLab HTHP is an enhanced version of the AutoLab 1500 with a maximum temperature of 350oC (660oF) and a confining pressure of 200 MPa (29,000 psi).  At temperatures below 175oC (350oF), the system supports all the features of the AutoLab 1500.  For higher temperature measurements, an internal furnace is positioned in the bore of the pressure vessel; this limits the optimal sample diameter to 25 mm (1.00 in).

The measurement options at the higher temperatures include

  • Deformation with NER’s displacement transducer to 350oC (660oF), and strain gauges to 240oC (465oF),
  • Velocity with one longitudinal and one torsional shear wave,
  • Steady state permeability,
  • Fracture strength,
  • Frictional sliding,
  • Rock/Pore fluid interactions,

AutoLab HPHT Key Features

  • Supports standard ASTM and ISRM triaxial rock mechanics tests,
  • Servo-hydraulic control of strain rate, force, confining pressure, pore pressure, and flow rate
  • Pore pressure intensifiers with ceramic pistons and titanium bodies support commonly used pore fluids such as water, brine, CO2, gas, and oil,
  • Pore pressure intensifiers with ceramic pistons and titanium bodies compatible with water, brine, CO2 saturated brine, gas, and oil,
  • Output volumes the pore pressure intensifiers range from 59 cm3 (3.6 in3) to 482 cm3 (29.5 in3).
  • Integrated electronics console for servo amplifiers and signal conditioning
  • AutoLab v6 control, data acquisition, and processing software,
